Nice job Axial Really like the details put into this! Now do a hard body kit of some sort. Blow tamiya out of the water

Yes, a hard body without the ridiculous price would be awesome! I for one would love to see something along the lines of an old dodge power wagon body.

Nice good luck on your build! Have fun with it. I'm sure those'll do well in the comps!

Yes, but a TRUE SCALE Power Wagon, not a body based on it like the Betty body.

I second that train of thought, someone (Axial???) needs to crank out some of the most sought after hardshell body styles. You're not going to let the Japanese beat you to it, are you? Speaking of which, I'm surprised one of the major toy companies hasn't gotten on the bandwagon and done it already. Scale hardbodies at a reasonable price...there's an assload of money to be made there .

If the hard bodies were cheap to produce they would make them.

"If someone would just come out with Ferrari's real cheap everyone would buy one".

Where is the head exploding smiley when we need one.

Point taken. I guess "a reasonable price" is open to interpretation .

I drove the TR for over an hour yesterday. I was at the Worlds and Axial had one. We went on a little run and photo shoot. The rig is super fun and very capable. I am not a scaler guy, but I am definitely looking forward to getting one of these.

Still it doesn't add up. Tamiya bodies go for 180+ while a similar static model can be had for under 25. It's injection molding, not rocket science. Once you have the mold the rest is cake. There are also thousands of injection molding factories in China. I can buy a 16th scale RC RTR tank with full electronics and a nicely detailed body for under 150 to my door. It's basically the same plastic/styrene used on the hilux/F-350/tundra bodies and has just as much detail, sometimes more. The physical size is actually larger too.

I am sorry but the hard body prices from tamiya are ridiculous. It can be done much cheaper.

Someone will catch on and start producing reasonably priced hard bodies.

Axial told me at the Worlds that they have been shipped and that they should be in the US in two weeks. If I understood him correctly.

I like it. I noticed that the kit ground clearance is 3" and the TR is 2.7". If they are the same chasis, why the difference? Different shock height?

Could be the extra weight on the chassis

Can we expect an ARTR version? I would really like to know before I add another new radio to the collection on the shelf (it's getting pretty full).

Thanks

Just buy the kit and add your own. Axail will be selling just the body
