Default Getting ready to buy a scx 10 for a scaler

I have a few questions, are the axles locked? if not what do you prefer to lock them? Also is there any build tips you have or anything you suggest to get?

scx10 kit has lockers included for the axles

re build tips... well just follow the easy step by step instructions and take your time. Its pretty straight forward and when you do make mistakes you will notice that things are not right

The only thing I suggest is do a search here on how to build the shocks properly because if not they leak and performance is poor.

i used plumbers tape on the shock caps, the kit build is easy and straightforward, if its your 1st time to do a kit then just go over the instructions . good luck and keep us posted on your rig

I use what we call Chicksan grease in my axles and trans. It is what we use for L.P. Gas pumps at work.

Note on the kit::: Keep your receipt!!!! If there is anything wrong with the kit. I.E. missing parts or damaged parts, Axial customer service will hook you up with what you need and a little gift. So long as you send them your receipt.

cool deal will do. Just out of curiosity what does everyone think of this kit? I have heard both good and bad. I am going for a really cabable scaler thats what I want. Or would I be better off building a full tuber as a scaler?

I love it. We went out with the K.C. Crawlers group a few weeks ago, Took my comp rig and my scaler (SCX-10). Broke the comper and was confined to the scaler, but even with everyone else running comp rigs, there wasnt really that many places I couldt go. And if I couldnt there was a line I could get somewhere. A+++++++ KIT!!!

Ok I am wanting to buy it tonight but I am wondering if I should get some aluminum c's and knuckles? What about rear lockouts? What do the lockouts do? I tried to find something on them but I couldnt. Should I get all 3?
