| SCX-10 shock help.
I am putting my kit together and am not sure I want to use the stock shocks. I read that the caps pop off if you jump them, and I am building a rock racer, so jumping is definitly in the plan. I have a set of wheely king shocks, would they be better?

Use some plumber's tape on the threads in the shock cap(and make sure the caps are fully tightened every time before you take it out on a run), then drive it until they pop off, if they don't, great, if they do, change them out for the wheely kings.

No problem with my stock shocks yet. Tighten the caps but don't overtighten them or you will stretch the threads. I like jumping mine over parking blocks. Drive up to one and then nail the throttle and it pops up and usually lands on all fours!
