Just got my new tr and it topples over like nothing, i was wondering what all ways there are to help get it not so top heavy, i looked into wheel weights but how well do those help?

I don't know if you are into comp crawling too, but the same principals apply.....Get as much of the truck's weight as low as you can, wheel wheight is good for this. Suspension adjustments can also help, but as a rule, scalers are usually more prone to rolling over as their bodies weigh more, thus putting more weight up high. And the more lights, luggage racks, driver/ passenger figures, spare tire(s) you add the worse it gets. But bear in mind, these are built for scale realism, and 1:1 trucks are similar in roll overs.

I dremeled the inside lip of my wheels at a 45 degree angle and put in some proline wheel weights. The 6oz. of weight in each front wheel made a huge difference. With no spare mounted on the cage, I could get away with 1.5oz in each wheel, but it was still a little top heavy. Ditch the spare tire and add some stick-on weight to your front wheels and you should be rockin'.

Switching from a stick pack to a smaller Lipo pack will make the biggest difference. The farther forward on it the better. Adding wheel weight will help a ton too.

Thanks everyone! I gt a stick pack and it's relocated to the front but it is a little higher up because it's above the elctronics but it used to be in the back right on the chassis which spot would be better? And it is my first scaler and it's a TR scx10 |

Get the battery as low & forward as you can on the chassis. Those stick packs weigh a ton, and they will tip you over if they're mounted too high. Post up some pictures of your truck with the body on and with the body off. It'll help alot if we can actually see what you're dealing with instead of guessing. |

Going to a lipo would definitely help a ton. If you can't do the lipo, even going to a 2/3a pack would be a big help. Put about 3 1/2-4 ounces in each front wheel, like stated already, that helps allot. |

Take your electrics out and move your battery tray up front (if you haven't done so already), then you can put your electrics on top of your battery. I ballooned my rx and put it on top of the battery and put my XL-5 ESC over the rear axle. Sorry for the crappy pic and no the wires are not touching the spur gear. It works good and it's no where near as tippy as my F350 Hi-lift and I haven't put any weights in the tires yet.

Felt definitely the high profile and weigh heavy shell plays a major part for the topples... just have to be real slow when crawling some difficult obstacles with the stock 27 turn motor. I ditched the stock radio, and uses my own with TH EPA and EXP settings to overcome the speed problem... and gonna changed to a 45T motor soon perhaps.

Have a scx10.Run a 3cell lipo(2170mah) mounted over the front servo and axle.put the receiver in the receiver box that comes with it.(put dielectric grease in the hole were wires come out of the box,as a precaution)Only esc sits in the rear. Run 3oz of lead weight in Each front wheel. 1oz in Each rear.(i like the rear to stay calm on desents) The rig is super stable! Try that for starters.lmk Also what body did you end up running lexan or a hardbody??
