Default Hilux body - No Bag W (Metal Parts)

I'm contemplating going the ever popular hilux route for my SCX10. Can I get away without buying $32.99 in screws from:

9400655 Metal parts bag B (screws metal parts)

It really drives up the cost, and I'm thinking I might be able to just use screws I have in my parts bin. Any ideas? Is the L-bracket available anywhere else cheaper?

I made my own L-Bracket out of some 1/2x1/2" angle aluminum from Lowes or Home Depot. The rest of the screws you might be able to get away with spare ones, but the hassle might just be worth buying the bag in the first place. It really depends on how many spare screws you have and if they are the course plastic screws and not just standard m3 screws.

I just put together a DF-03 RA and didn't use a single screw included in the kit, I went with all machine button head and flat head screws, so I've got a few laying around. It just doesn't make sense to me to spend $32 when the only integral part is the L bracket. I wanted to see what you guys thought as well.

I never bought the metal parts bag for my hilux. I made my own bracket up front and Shoe Goo'd it in place. I used M3 screws and nuts to hold the grill on, as well as the bed to the cab. Everything else is Shoe Goo.

I didnt even use the metal grill bracket, just hot glue! No failure yet, but shoe goo might be a better solution.
