| Rear link length for shorter wheel base
Hi Forum, I would like to shorten the wheel base of my SCX-10 by moving the rear axle forward using the holes in the frame rail already punched/drilled by Axial. My question is how much I need to shorten the rear links, or better yet if shorter links are available out of the box. This is my preferred option so that I can change the wheel base back again in the future. Thanks. Best regards, Thomas |

Hi there! I shortened a SCX10 to fit under a Tamiya Wrangler... Maybe have a look here: http://www.rockcrawler.de/index.php?...d&threadID=133 or here: http://s13.zetaboards.com/rcjeeps/topic/6648812/1/ You are you native or expat to cologne? I am from Burscheid, that's quite in your Neighbourhood. Drop me a PM or contact me via Skype if you want to join some local scale running activity or stuff... Greetings, Christian |

Thanks for the quick answers. I was hoping to take the lazy route and buy pre-made links and avoid having to try to relearn geometry and trigonometry (too many years ago). I merely want to move the rear shock mounts and thus the axle as well forward into the pre punched holes in the fram, about 1 cm forward. I'll check with my LHS as to their selection. Have a good one. |
