Default SCX10 Build.....

first off i'm not one to build scalers and my old k5 has served me well for the last 3 years or so. it was time for me move on and give the scx10 a try.

here's whats in it.

stock scx kit
hand bros cms kit
hitec 5645 servo
sidewinder esc
holmes hobbies 7t puller
shaved 1.9 flat irons
ati one off wheels

wheelbase is stretched to 11 3/4

now on to some pics..

here's how it started.....

shortly i have a runner...

mod to the tires.

Man those wheels are sweet looking. Also agree about making the body look half way desent. I'm not a big fan of the stock body or the green, main reason that has kept me from getting it But you make it look good and tempting..lol

very cool!

couple questions... tell me a little more about this tire mod. is it just for looks, or do they grip better?

also, that 7t....looks like your running a 3 cell with it? is the sidewinder getting really hot?

thanks

tire mod is just that, all for looks. i don't like the square look of the flat irons.

and the sidewinder does gets warm but not hot to touch at all. the puller on the other hand can get hot when i run it it hard.

Looks good Ric! I forgot to mention that when you use my truss the links are the same as lowers. But I see you got that. Now you need some boat sides and a fender trim.
