Default DezSlash's SCX-10 TR build up

Hello there, gonna put up a progress/ build thread on my TR. Got it about a week ago in a trade as of now pretty much stock with a older 19t brushed motor. Added a canvas top made from old carhart jacket that was torn up. In the next week the real fun begins. I have a week off work and gonna sling some tube and mount up a clod body. Will have a full cage dovetailed and possibly dove nosed as well. As well as all metal diy links. on to the pics..

That is cool enough for me

I just got my TR a few weeks ago and am on my first mods for it too.
I just painted my wheels black and made some wheel arches (paint's still drying as we speak )

Did you fab your own rear links ?
I was thinking of going for metal links as my next upgrade

Do you often get hung up on the front bumper ?
It's starting to get on my nerves .. it looks cool and all but it's a bit in the way :?

Yep used some traxxas rod ends, all tread and some aluminum tubing. As for the front bumper not yet. I am thinking of building a skid plate with some sheet aluminum that i have form my 1:1.

Push the front bumper in until it fits snug against the body. It will be between the holes to put the set screws in. Drill new holes a bit smaller than the set screw threads, force screw the set screws in to make new threads and wallah. It may not seem like much but it really makes a difference from getting the bumper hung up.

Brazed up a bumper, was the first time i ever brazed tubing this small. I do refridgeration for a living and this seems to be harder than that. Getting some stanless steel to bend up a front valance and boat sides.

Started to get ahold of this brazing. Built a spare tire mount.

Got to put some more supports but it works. Been looking through threads and the web getting idea's on a bedcage. Should have it figured out here soon will be narrowed in the rear with the bed sides bolted to it.

Just using revo rod ends, some all thread, and aluminum tubing. The 4 link was pretty easy i just set the pinion angle with the uppers and cut the all tread first than once i got it i cut a slipped the tubing over.

Redid the front bumper. Really liking this one most likely will get a skit in the square area with a fairlead for a servo winch. Also any suggestions on what to fill the gap between the grill and the frame?

(sorry for the crappy pics couldnt find my camera)
