| Zach's Kid's TR, or what's left of it.
My 6 year old has been going to a lot of the comps with me lately. It's fun to go with him and he usually doesn't pretty well. He always beats someone which is pretty funny I built a CC-01 for him a while ago but that didn't hold up at all. When the TR came out I sold the CC-01 and got him one of those instead. It's been a lot of fun for him but I can't say it's really a tr anymore. All the electronics have been changed, Tekin FX-R, Castle BEC, Spektrum, etc. I converted my SCX-10 to leafs so the links went on this. Also when I converted to leafs the Hand Bros kit didn't work on mine so it went on this too with the upgraded steering. Then I robbed the interior out of the body for my F-Toy so I pulled the Bronco body that has been on two other rigs besides this and mounted it up. And now we have, what's left of a TR |

I made a little battery plate for it. A Thunder Power 1320 or 1350 3s battery fits great. Hand Bros Steering kit with Delrin tie rod The 4 link truss that came with the kit was also installed with delrin links again. Then came a RC4WD Winch and the D-rings that always break off the Proline bumper When I mounted the winch I had to take the lights off so I used them on the body instead. I used the light buckets from a Tamiya Hilux light bar and a body reamer to make a whole in the body then mounted them with shoe goo. I love shoe goo |

Nice rig. I am sure your son likes it. I have found that both my boys 4 and 6, like driving scalers better than the comp rigs. I now have to build one more scaler for my oldest. It sure is fun to take the out to drive the trucks . |

| Yep, Rok Loks and RC4WD steel wheels. I love them, they are my favorite combo when it comes to looks and performance. They fit really well under this body too.

Thanks for the idea with the Tamiya light buckets..... I was trying to figure out a good way to add lights on my FJ40. The Bronco looks great |

| No problem. It's really very easy and I have to give PinchFlat credit for it, he's the one who I got the idea from. I just cut them off of the light bar and left the tab that connected them to the bar for more support. My body reamer wasn't quite big enough for the bucket but I was able to open up the hole a bit bigger with the edge of the reamer until it fit.

Please advice, what is the length of derlin upper link for 4 link truss ? Just the derlin , not include the ball end. Thanks.

What I'm most excited for is this http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showp...53&postcount=1 Once they come out it's going right on this. Along with some tube work. |
