| My first attempt
After watching videos and seeing the SCX-10 in person, I could not hold out any more. A few weeks ago I purchased a SCX kit from a vendor here and after I received the package, the fever started. I first want to thank briansbodies for the Proline Blazer CGR body. I had to push the wheelbase out about 12 3/8" to match the body. I made new lower and upper rear links out of aluminum tube and 3m all thread rod. The rest of the kit I assembled as the instructions showed. I located the battery tray above the front axle, between the shock towers. To finish the build I used stuff I had from previous comp rigs. CC sidewinder Integy 35T motor 16t pinion CC BEC set at 6v TCS upper 4-link mount in rear Hobbico CS-170 6 cell stick packs robbed from my E-maxx RCP Aluminum knuckles and C-hubs on standby I have a set of F/R bumpers that I need to mount Future plans is a set of MIP drive shafts and maybe fab up some wheel wells. I had the rig out yesterday with some friends and I was quite amazed on what it was capable of. Especially in the climbing dept., I think the stretched rear and a heavy stick pack to the front helped a lot. I have to say I am having more fun with this than I do with my Berg. No build pics, but here are a few I took from yesterday My fav I took yesterday Thanks for looking Last edited by awd199; 11-22-2009 at 09:11 PM. Reason: added pics |

Thanks everyone. The hardest part was wanting to use the body. It is true the first scratch is the hardest. Harvo, I did get the kit. I used the ESC that had a BEC tied to it and the servo from my old slingshot, this thing will steer and can handle 2&3 cell lipos . Nothing wrong w/spare parts.
