oh ya, you may have to check the clearance between the upper rear links and the dig housing but it should clear ok

yup its gonna be the same as an ax-10 dig but you'll have to find a place to mount the servo

last time i looked at a dig with the scx10 chassis you need to put spacers between the trans and the skid plate for the dig casing to clear the links etc. but that was with the hotracing dig idk about other brands

A VP dig fits perfectly, no clearance issues

Quality costs money man simple as that. One thing to remember when investing in parts for an expensive crawler is that you're going to get what you pay for.

Hotracing digs are cheaper, but the quality level and the service behind the product have nothing on what you get from VP.

I am using the HR dig and it fits fine no clerance issues or spacers added, but my wheelbase is streched to 12.5". I just moved my battery to the back used the plate that comes with it notched it out and used it as a servo mount for the dig and mounted the rest of my electronics on it. works great for switching from 2 wheel drive to 4x4.

i am assuming that this is going on the front shaft ? i would ask one of the vp guys if you could flip the cog that goes on the rear of the dig so it wont lock into dig...only if you have a 3rd channel with only a 2 position switch or you could adjust end points if you have that option

The other nice thing about the VP dig is you only need a micro servo due to the lever action....that clears a lot of space for interior etc in scale builds.

what do u mean on the front shaft? I want 2 b able 2 lock the rear tires when needed. I'm still a bit confused about digs and the different options of what u want it 2 do. U can't have evry option a dig can perform in 1 package can u? Or would u haveto put 2 digs 1 on each side of the tranny?

Why do you want a dig? This truck is designed with scale builds in mind.

A dig has three positions: 4 wheel drive, rear tires locked, and rear tires free spin.

Well most guys when puting a dig on there scale rig dont use it for locking the back axles, they use it for the front. so you have the ability to go from 2 wheel drive (free wheel) or 4x4 kind of like a real truck. If you have a 3 position switch u can get them to lock as well. The dig in its traditonal sense is used mainly for 2.2 comp rigs.

this is what im doing but im going to have all 3 positions, so i can have something like line locks for burnouts and such just for fun

sorry to hijack a bit but does anybody know how i can run a winch and dig on the same channel and just switch power from one to the other. i have a futaba 3pmx, i was looking at punk's programmable computer but i don't know if they have a program for that kind of thing.
