X 2 on the pede shafts, they hold up way better than stock axial shafts.

All I ran on my Axial (before I went MOA) was 'pede shafts. I modified them, though, to make them even stronger. I found that after running for a while, the male shaft would start to twist a little, then the travel was rough or it would even stick.

so, my solution was to use a regular female on one end, then on the other, I would:

1. Cut the splined section off of the male shaft.
2. Cut a female shaft to a length so that it would allow full suspension travel.
3. CA glue the male spline section into the shortened femail shaft.
4. Install that section.

Now instead of a long section of male shaft exposed (the male spline section being the weak link that twists), there is only a very short section of exposed male spline shaft. Most of the male spline is within the female shaft sections (whether glued or free to slide).

I also preferred the Traxxas 'pede metal shaft ends to the Axials.

I like using the Maxx shafts. They pritty much can't be broken in this size of rig. They are also longer than the Ped shafts. So they don't twist eather. The only problem with this mod, is this makes the tranny outputs the weak link. And you could start breaking outputs. There are a few places selling upgraded outputs.

Here is the link.

Maxx Shafts made easy.
