Default RC Bros Leaf Spring kit questions?

Well, I'm still a bit undecided on this kit. It's not a simple bolt on kit. It's going to take a of modifying to get it just right.

Anyhow...my first question is...what the heck direction to military wrap leafs go? Which end goes in the solid mount and which one goes in the shackle?

Next question (assuming the leafs are facing the right direction)...what kid of angle should the rear shackles be at? Do these look about right?

And surprise surprise...it's going to be another truggy.

Anything around a 45 back is a good shackle angle, after weight is added... Looks good so far... I plan on runnin leaves up front and 4 link the back... We'll see what parts Santa gets me...

The solid eye always goes to the front so if you hit something the leaf will go over it. I see you have two swing mounts on a single leaf.... One side of the leaf pack should be a soild mount that doesn't swing, only one swing mount to a leaf pack. Hope this helps....... Nice work, keep it goin

I see you have a rear sag problem like I had. I had to run springs in my rear shocks to keep the back end up.

It looks like two swing mounts, but only the rear ones swing. The front spring mounts have yet to be mounted. Once they are they will be solid mounts.

I thought it was me...it does have a lot of rear sag. What were you using for springs?

Yellowpasta, why are you so sassy?

It was cheaper for me to use the internal spring in my shock.

Goldmember, I'm using red rc4wd springs.

I was wondering if you'd see this thread.

You can't run the 4link and the leafs in the rear, but you could still run the coilovers with the leafs. It just wouldn't be that scale imo.

As well, the 3 link wouldn't be needed up front with leafs.

wouldent you want to remove the springs off the coilover shocks when running the leaf springs? i guess that would keep it semi scale..

That's my plan for now. With the leafs, shocks aren't necessary performance wise...just for looks. My plan is to remove the springs and possibly sand off the preload threads from the body, then paint the body and caps.
