Default Blazer: to cut or not to cut, that is the ???

Just finished spraying my cgr blazer body for my scx10. It looks good but even with the longer factory links it's going to need some trimming. I can't decide wether I want to get longer links or just trim up the wheel wells. Even if I get longer links the size of the tire is going to cause them to rub. But if I trim I can keep the body low, not loose breakover angle and save some cash. I was also wondering how much more extension I can get out of the driveshaft before it starts to pop apart. Here are some pics, suggestions please!

put a small spacer in all the rear links and you should be just fine no need for new links

replace your ball ends w/ traxxas ball ends in the uper and lower links . super cheap eaasy and clan way to gain an extra 1/4 inch.

you can also mess around w/ spacers in the uper links to gain an extra 1/4 - 1/2 inch

Yeah the TR has the solid links and even with the longer ones off the parts tree it's as short as you see in the pics. I like those molded links since they look rather scale (and are included). I don't want to put something on there that's going to look goofy either.

Like others have said..spacers or rod ends. What ever you do....do not cut it. Bodies that are cut up look bad IMO.

Here is a shot of mine uncut and at full compression I do get some tire rub but it does not interfear with how the truck preforms.

I couldn't agree more, Space the wheelbase out right, get the body the height you want it, and if there is no other choice, cut as little as possible off. I am waiting to see where there is rubbing marks, then I might possibly think about trimming it a little.
