| Ring gear screws won't FFFFFFFFFFFFF thread into the locker!
Okay, so I put an ax-10 together years ago without problems, but these stupid little 2x10mm allen heads will not thread into the AX80002 piece at all.

Got a body hole reamer? If so give it a turn to knock that corner off and it should thread in.

No body hole reamer but some light use of a 1/16th drill bit (used by hand) was a great solution. Thanks.

Yeah, I encountered the same thing with one of my Axials. Swearing at a 2 mm screw. |

I'm laughing at it now. I was so mad I said locker instead of carrier in the thread title. The axles went smoothly after this but I haven't gotten much farther in the build, but with my daughter in town, the truck can wait. Last edited by SStone; 12-25-2009 at 06:37 PM. |

i used an m2 screw with a 2.5mm head. not sure where i got it. i had to cut a little plastic under the teeth to fit. but i recently got this http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXXBK3&P=ML which solved all my problems with those stupid little screws. man i hate screws that small. |
