| CVD question
Do the mip cvd's allow for more steering over the factory dog-bone style shafts? Looking for a few more degrees out of my steering.

Really? For what reason? I did see that the axial version doesn't use a setscrew to hold the shaft in. I've never lost one on an 8th scale or any other us I've had them in so I didn't really see any benifits from that.

A ring holds the drive pin on the Axials and a grub screw holds the drive pin in place on the MIP CVDs which I don't like and have never had good luck with. It is just my opinion, I am sure that they are nay sayers out there.

I've never had any problems with the MIP ones, just make sure you threadlock the set screw in. I've used them on both on road cars and an E-Maxx i had years ago, worked great, never lost a shaft. I'm not saying they are better or worse than the Axials, just that i had no problems with them.

You can modify the stock dogbone setup for more steering and still have great durability. I machined mine down like it describes in this thread and it costs me zero doallars to do. CVD Fix ? Check it out! |

i have seen multiple mip axle shafts go on an axial. Drive shafts are fine but with wheel spin and traction the mip axles dont work. Especially if your rig has 2.2s with some weight
