Default SCX 10, Steering problem... more steering one way than the other?

Ok so I have got a servo mocked up one that I am not going to use.. I am using the hand brothers kit as well.. Now when I cycle the steering to the right I get a lot. now when I go to the left the arm hits the frame and I dont get very much at all.

Whats the deal there? It doesnt look like it can be fixed.

I ran into this issue too. Put some small spacers between the servo and the mount to drop it down untill the arm clears the frame.

Or try using a different arm/nut/bolt combo.

ok well I will have to go buy spacers then. What size should I get?

Will I need longer screws or keep the same ones?

How many did you put on?

and looking at it now It looks like it will need quite a few washers cause the nut still has to clear and its pretty small. I dont wanna put a lot on there cause then the servo and how its on will be weak.

Use a button head screw and drop it down through the horn before putting it on the servo so the nut is on the bottom. As far as spacers go, just use some small washers. Use as many as you need to get the proper clearance.

I had problems similar to this when I installed the hand bros kit. I had to switch out the drag link, instead I used an old tie rod I had laying around. I had to play around with the length of the rod, luckily there was plenty of room to adjust, until I found the proper length. Too long and I couldn't steer full left, too short and couldn't go full right. If your servo horn or rod aren't hitting anything try changing the length of the drag link.
