| SCX10 TR 8.4V Okay?
Hi My son got a SCX10 TR with a 3Racing winch on Christmas. He really loves that truck (he is a big Landrover Fan, just like me). Unfortunally he only got one 7.2V battery. I got myself an AX10 2 years ago and have 6 8.4V batteries for it. He asked my if he can use them on his truck. This would be fine with me but I am not sure if the Truck can handle it. The manual says that the esc is got up to 10 Cells. So 8.4V would be no issue. But what is with the LED's on that Truck and the 3 Racing winch? Does anyone of you have exprience with 8.4V on that Truck, specially with the winch and LED's? I aint wanna blow his lights nor his winch. I worked hard for my title "Superdad" :-P and I aint wanna lose it now Thanks for your help. Greetings |

The LED's and winch should run off the receiver which is run off the ESC's BEC. The BEC reduces the voltage down to around 5.5-6 volts typically so you should have no worries.

Hi Thanks for your input. You are right, the LED are running from the rx. But the winch is runnig direct from the batterie. But man, thanks for your input. Half of the problem is solved :-) |
