| OK, need a bit of help with the honcho, servo hitting crossmember
OK guys, it is late and I am tired haha. The servo on my honcho was hitting the cross member right above it, well more like resting on it. The front end would not move at all. It was hitting the very top of the servo horn. I took the cross member out but the servo now hits the chassis a little bit(it's not a huge deal, just doesn't seem normal). It seems to me like the servo sits too high, almost right between the frame rails. I will take a couple pics for reference. Thanks for any help, -Matt |

Haven't seen one without that issue. The quick and easy fix is to Dremel out the crossmember.

Either the beer is hitting the brain, or something is screwy here... Look at the top of the servo horn, it is hitting the cross member. Servo looks like it sits high, to me anyways. |

Had the same issue, emailed Axial, they called me and told me to use one of the plactice spacers that is 7.5mm and that should clear the horn. I personally cut a notch instead of using the plastic spacer.

While I am at it, anyone else missing an abundance of screws? I still have to do my cage and don't have much left for screws....Very frustrating.

Just started my build last night and noticed that I was missing an entire sheet of plastic parts. Hoping I'm not missing anything else.

I had the same problem with my hitec 635 servo. I switched to a hitec 645 and it clears but not by much. It depends on the height of the top of the servo. As for the missing parts tree if it is the one with the rod ends ax80032 they are on another tree AX8005 that is pictured wrong. It has extra parts on it. Hope this helps.

I was short on screws. I ended up with extra long ones of the same thread pitch so I just cut those down and used them. I had all my plastic though! As for the servo, my 645 didn't clear at first but I think the servo can move forward and back on the mounting plate. Once I moved it back, it clears by about 1/8".

I Just made a new servo mount plate (out of a spare axial battery tray) with the servo holes moved back about 3 or 4 mm and that solved the problem without having to remove the cross member. Rough servo plate - Servo plate fitted with Tower pro 995 servo. Hope thats of some help ! |

Looks to be a common problem. I had the servo horn hit & missing screws too. I bought the Hand Bros steering kit & put it in yesterday. It's not perfect because the drag links fouls on the bracket on the diff. Hand Bros are working on a new chassis bracket, seems the longer wheelbase caught Axial out |

I am doing my first RC build, an ax10 kit with the honcho body conversion. wanted to use the Hitec HS-7955TG and wondered if its dimensions were similiar to the servo you used......meaning if you thought it would fit your rig.
