Default scx10 will ax10 parts work?

i want to get a scaler but i can get an ax10 for cheap from a friend
what parts can i use on the scx10 chasis?

i was thinking of getting a tcs x trail chasis and someone said to just get an scx10 chasis but i dont think i can use as many parts on the scx10.

if i get a tcs x trail chasis and the ax10 i will pretty much have everything i need right? any input would be appreciated

You can use pretty much most of the items from an AX10, all you need is the SCX10 chassis or the TCS or whatever scale chassis you want to use.
you may have to change links sizes, shocks, a drive shafts, but yes pretty much anything on an SCX10 is interchangeable with an AX10, just different chassis.

I dont know how long i worked on it for sure a couple weeks is all. I was actually pretty easy to make the frame if you have some basic tools to work with. if not you can buy the scx10 frame set for around $50

Axail SXC10 Frame Set

or

TCS Xtrail for $42

and just use all your ax10 parts

I converted my ax10 to an scx10 also buying the frame kit. Also may aswell get you some new links since the ax10's are way longer than the scx'

I turned my ax10 to a scx10 all you need to change, 6x91 lower links, small 5mm spacer in the three link and i got some stock metal shockes and stock 1.9s then all i had to do was trim up the hubs to make them more narrow
