Default Rockcrawlers Honcho

Well, I wasn't going to do a build thread since everyone and their brother has one. But I figured it would be nice to have somewhere to keep up with the progress and changes so here it is.

Honcho kit
MSD (I think) wheels for now. Thanks TEDROCKZ.
Tekin FX-R
CC BEC
Spektrum Receiver
TP 2000mah battery
VP Rear lockouts
VP Aluminum Trans Case
VP High Steer knuckles

Built it stock to begin with for the most part.

Took the battery tray off so I could get things a little tighter and lower.

The bigger Spektrum receiver would not fit in the box......so we are going without a case for now until I can find a smaller receiver. :-P

Took the top part off....what ever the hell it is.

Got the receiver antenna a little smaller and shrink wrapped up.

Now for the ESC and BEC.

Stuffed all the wires in.

Wire is all in.

Definately have to get some smaller wire though so the box will shut all the way. It just is cracked open.

Decided to just mount the battery on top of the servo for now.

She runs now anyway.

The only thing I don't like is how far forward the front end is....will work on that later.

It will probably be a few days if not a week or 2 before I get some paint.

I definitely have a list of "Want" stuff.

I always knew you were one to stuff a BOX

I really like it Jeff nice work with the electronics...

I lowered my battery tray which got my body low enough to where i didnt need to leave extra lexan on the fron, you should be able to do the same with that soopa slick setup ...

You know it.

It will be much better when I can get the smaller receiver and some smaller wire for the motor. I will probably do that with the body, I just didnt want to cut it too short just yet before I get everything together.

Very nice. You could just take a soldering iron and waller the hole out a little in the box instead of redoing the wires. Just a thought

I thought about that but I want a little smaller wire anyway. If I have to, I will drill a hole and use a rubber grommet.

Some of us have to work 90 hours a week.

It sat in the box in the hobby room for a week or so before I opened it.

I'm hard to impress.

And, I'm sorry, I will post something more considerate.

I appreciate your attempt at a good wire job, including the removal of the receiver case, and the stuffing of the wires into the thing.
