| What are the differences between the 3?
Looking to get another SCX10 but need to know the major differences between the 2 or 3 besides the bodies and accessories. I aready have the normal SCX. Is the TR the same dimensions as far as chassis and links are concerned compared to the standard? I know the Honcho is longer. But how is it longer? Chassis or links or both? And is the trans cross member the same as the other two? I'll need to stretch it no matter which one I choose. It's just a matter of how I want to stretch it. Thanks! |

The differences that matter are the tr has plastic links and would be harder to replace to lengthen it, but comes with the electronics. they aren't great, but are adequate for trail driving. you know about the regular scx10. The honcho is longer and all hex hardware. the rest is cosmetic. color of the beadlocks, type of bumpers they come with, that sort of thing. if you need something long and can afford the price jump to the honcho over the stock I would say go with that.

I know it's longer. But HOW is it longer? Axial's site doesn't address this. Are the actual chassis rails longer on the Honcho? Or is it just the links that are longer? If the chassis is the same on the Honcho and the links are longer, are the shock mounts spaced further toward the ends of the chassis? Or?

The chassis is the same on the Honcho. They just added spacers to make the links longer. Unless I'm wrong. |

Original kit uses 91mm lowers Honcho uses 98mm lowers on the front and 106mm lowers on the rear. Chassis is the same, shock mounts on the rear can be mounted on two different locations on the chassis and each shock hoop has 3 holes. Plenty of adjustment to compensate for the longer wheelbase. | |
