Default black and blue scx10 2.2 cruiser

I started with a scx10 and then shortened the front frame by a 1/2 inch and then moved the front axel and suspension back roughly 3/8 by making new links. the front drive shaft is also a half inch shorter. I wanted the body to fit the wheel base and let the wheels articulate into the wells without hitting and only light rubbing if any contact at all. I added the proline shocks with the 5mm extensions , that I love. I tried a traxxas xl5 speed control and then the VXL brushless system and after a few trys ended up with the VXL traxxas waterproof esc on 11.1 volts running a brushed integy 35t crawler motor. This way I avoid the cogging of the brushless and gain the waterproof traxxas esc and the torque and speed of a brushed motor on 11.1 volts. The gears are underdriven in the rear diff and the titus wheels have comp claws on them. The steering is raised up to give the tighter turring and the body is a bushwacker with chrome wipers and mirrors... from a cup car. I am awaiting a snorkel. I wanted a mudder to go with my slower bronco TR that I already built. I want to make both bodies look more scale as I continue to work on these trucks.

some nice touches on the cruiser. i like what you have done with the necklace/bracelet clasp for the winch. how do you find the PL shocks or haven't you run them yet?

Sweet looking trucks! I like them both but the bronco has my vote as the cooler one. I have the same Bushwacker body on my X-trail AX-10 conversion.

I know my two tone painting skills are not the best but I am learning fast

New boots ( 2.2 mud slingers ) waterproof bearings and waterproofed the hitec servo. New Aluminum C-hubs and MIP cvd axels after I accelerated with the VXL on a three cell and ripped the wheel off the truck. Also a rc4wd snorkel.

Hell Yeah, it looks awesome with the 2.2 Mud Slingers I don't care what anyone says, 2.2's look good under a FJ40.
Here's mine, I may have to pick up one of those snorkels for myself.

Nice work on the x-trail chassis and the rc4wd trail finder. I really like the tube work around the trail finder build. I hope to have the scx-10 chassis work out well. I want a mud and trail truck out of this one and the scx-10 seems to be a good platform.

I just mounted the prolines to the stock positions but I used the 5mm extensions that were included. They work great and are probably the best thing I have done for both the cruiser and the bronco build. The prolines are butter smooth and they react to even the smallest changes in terrain. I especialy like them because I have shortened both of my frames and suspensions and the stock springs became two stiff with the shorter chassis ( less leverage with the shorter stance than with a long chassis)
