A nice affordable servo is the Hitec 645MG, like 132oz torque for like 35 dollars...

I have a Hobicco CS-150. Pretty sure its about the same price and more powerful than the Hitec 645MG. I run 2.2 Flat Irons with 6oz in each tire and it works like a wet dream.

I'm thinking this one for my scx10 build, but waiting for feedback before I go for it. yeah it's expensive, but it has rave reviews and is very powerful

Hitec HS-7955TG Digital $100.00

Here's a copy/pase of torque specs
"Featuring a titanic 333oz./in. of torque at 6.0 volts"

I've got the CS-170 on both of mine. No problems so far. They go about about $90.

spend $14 more and get this . 403oz at 6v and 486oz at 7.4v. http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/hrc37950s.htm

I ran the 7955tg and just upgraded to this servo.

I'll have to look into that. It's nice when you "can" actually turn your tires

For the SCX10 the the specs of the 645MG and the like are plenty. The hitecs are nice because they are waterproof from the factory and I have never had a hitec fail on me. I can't say the same for other servos.

Go with an 8711 pricey but it turns my truck when it's in a bind. It even snaped my plastic "c" twice before I changed to aluminum.

i would say 7955 or 7950 you could never have to much power.
they are water proof from factory but they well never say that. as long as you don't take it apart. my 7955 has been under water lots of times.

Best servo hands down IMHO is the Futaba 9157. I have used mine in three different rigs and it is still going strong
