Well, mine did sag but I picked up a pair of adjustable shocks and just adjusted the tension to get hte right ride heigth. I did this on an F350 build (here: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140070&page=8 ) but it would work the same for any. It allowed the rear to "really" sway for articulation which is what I wanted seeing I left the front leaf-spring'ed. From the pictures, the only thing I ultimately changed was the inner drill hole location. I dropped it about a quarter inch to help give it more travel as the shocks would hit the frame rail at a certain angle of flex. If you look deeper into the build thread - you'll see what I'm talking about but I indexed the thread at the page where I did some rear suspension work for you. I only had what was in the box, so I just set my shocks to droop, and mounted them like this. I just drilled the stock crossmember and mounted the shocks with the self tappers and spacers that are normally used. It seems to sit at roughly stock height, maybe a bit lower, but there are no springs whatsoever, so if you are looking for a smooth ride for some odd reason, it's probably not for you. It also provides cartoon looking flex for a scale truck, so if you want to put some limiters in it that is up to you as well. |
