| Motor options for the Honcho
Im kinda at a standstill figuring out a decent motor for my sons Honcho. Whatcha all think? I dont have alot of cash to dump on a Holmes 35t motor so my choices are kinda limited but heres what im deciding on. Either: Titan 550 21T http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/ind...oducts_id=2121 Integy Pro lathe motor 35t or 45t http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/ind...oducts_id=2100 Novak 45t http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/ind...oducts_id=1974 Or if someone has a good quality motor they wouldnt mind selling id also look into that. Those are some of the options i came up with. Anything else out there worth mentioning. How are these motors? |

I have been running a 27t Silver Can motor from a wheely king rtr. It is a good cheap option to get you up and running. My silver can is shot now and I need to get something better. The bad thing about the silver cans is they are throwaway motors and the brush springs are very weak. You would be better off in the long run getting an inexpensive 27t or 35t motor with replaceable springs and brushes. You can run heavy springs to give better braking. An Integy 35t would do. I order my stuff from TCS, the shipping is less than half of what CKRC charges me. 27t Silver Can http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Axial-AX1...4-p-17569.html Integy 35t http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Integy-Ma...1-p-17258.html Last edited by dkf; 01-11-2010 at 12:35 PM. |
