Default 3rd times a charm? Goldmembers Hilux SCX-10 Build

Well...like most of us, I can never leave something alone. Pretty much from the get go I had plans to put a hard body on my SCX10.

Having one of the first kits here, my original build came out good. The body now resided on my Savage Flux.

Then I added the handbros kit and a new body. Trying my first attempt at styrene.

Seeing that neither of these were a hardbody meant it was time for something different.

I started looking around for ideas after picking up a Hilux cab w/ a Reign RC cab enclosure from Bigski . There's a lot of great builds here on RCcrawler and I've always been a fan of the All-Pro offroad Flat Bed Kit for 1:1 Toyotas. Using pictures of the All-pro kit along a bobbed 1:1 Hilux (I'll post a pic at home I don't have it on my work computer) I started to get an idea of what I wanted. I'll also be running leafs front and rear with the help of a RCBros Leaf kit.

To help me with the build, I had to ask for the help of Zorlac from Death Metal Garage. I've seen his work here and know it's top notch. It would cost me more in tools then to have him build it for me. Plus, it will be done right and it will look great.

Anyways, here's some progress pics that Zorlac has sent me from DMG:

Lookin' good. I am yet to test out the leaf springs on my completed scx10. One of these days the snow will melt and uncover the rocks...

No sweat, you're not be rude. I prefer not to say the price out there. I will tell you it's more than reasonable and if you're looking for some tube work, send Zorlac from the board a PM and he'll give you a cost for your project.

Pardonmynoob, we're under snow here too. I picked up an E-flite MSR to play around with in the house.

Stinger front bumper is almost done. A few more details and she'll be on her way for me.

Ok. I know this is an old build, but I have to know.

1: did you have the leafs on when you had the ford body on?
2: is it finished?

Thanks.
