| Traxxas 2075 WP Servo
I am thinking about upgrading my stock Axial TR servo to the Traxxas 2075 waterproof one. Traxxas has the 2075 rated at 125 oz of torque. Anyone know how this compares to the stock servo? Also, if anyone is using the 2075, how do you like it?

The stock Axial servo I believe is right around what the Traxxas one is, 125 or so oz's of torque. The only benefit I see would be the waterproofing offered by the 2075.

Thanks for the help guys! The plastic gears in the Traxxas servo was my biggest concern. I liked the idea of the waterproof servo, though. I don't do that much running in water, but thought it'd be nice to have the peace of mind. Rubired - thanks for the idea of the o-ring behind the horn. I might have to give it a shot! |

After frying my 645 I bought a couple of these. http://cgi.ebay.com/MG996R-Metal-Gea...item2a02e4370f They have metal gears, are pretty strong and not too bad for the price. The 645 was a lot more precise but it didn't have as much torque. |

I run the traxxas 2075 waterproof. No problems so far, been about a month. Dont do much crawling. Seem to find myself in more mud and soupy conditions.

dont get the 2075. I have it on my scx and i grabbed the truck by the tire to pick it up the other day and bam, popped a few teeth off one of the gears. Get something with a metal drivetrain for sure. |

Most of the hitec servos are waterproof from the factory. I run hitec's on everything I have. They have been submerged numerous times and always come out ticking.

yea I've taken my 7955tg in the drink a few times but even after plasti-dipping it I still get random problems with steering when I get it wet. I'm looking for complete submersion too though not just getting splashed from time to time. Thats why I got the 2075.

Strange, I have submerged mine numerous times and do so almost every outing. Maybe it's getting in somewhere else. I put silicon on around electronics box on my SCX and have a condom zip tied around the ESC.

I replaced the esc with a traxxas XL5, my goal is to be able to submarine this thing for minutes at a time. I got some servo horns from a buddy last night, hopefully they get me running.

Just remember if your antenna is completely submerged you will lose signal. Also be sure to clean your truck well afterwards and lube up the moving parts.
