i had a bad experience with this esc so i do not think much about it,it has no drag brake,if your going to be in the hobby save up and get a sidewinder or novak rooster crawler esc if you want to crawl,if you want to go fast get a waterproof esc from traxxas, hope that helps

I put a Castle Sidewinder in mine and never tried the stock esc. The stock esc has no drag break:-(. I guess you could get a traxxas esc if you want a water proof one. I would not recomend it IMO. The rooster is a good esc but you are limited to 7cell NiMh, 2cell LiPo or smaller. Some day there will be the perfect esc (small, progamable, waterproof) ohhhh some day!

**Waterproofing disclaimer**
Due to the nature of use, waterproofed ESCs will only have a 60 day warranty. There will be an additional 2-3 business day wait for waterproofing, as it is done on a per-order basis.
Yup.

Go with a sidewinder or Holmes Hobbies BR-XL the latter is available waterproof! Both have treated me well up to now!
