Default SCX Tundra Build

Been slowly building my rig. started off with a scx frame and went from there.

Parts include:
HH 7turn
HH Torquemaster waterproof
locked axial axles with rear truss
hand bros frame mount steering
etc......

mocking up the body for wheel base measurements and mounting

mounting up the rear bumper. im going to trim the body just below the tube.

just ordered these up the other day, hopefully they will be in soon.

I thought these would be good for a scale look since the tundras are a 5 lug.

i'll be watching this build for sure!

...what SCX chassis did you use? and if you had to modify to make the body fit is it possible to post a pic of where you modified it at?

its just the standard scx frame i guess. I picked it up from tcs. I didnt have to modify the body at all, just changed the rear links. The rear lowers are 98mm and the uppers are 91mm. the front lowers are 91mm and the upper is the 3 link panhard.

Good decision on the wheels and tires. The previous wheels and tires looked good but these have less of a "mall crawler" look.

On a side note, could you measure the length if the cab? Thinking of putting a Tundra cab on my Honcho to change the look alittle, too many Tacos.

the new ride hight (below) looks good...i still need to tweak mine
you may need to mess with the link length... the front looks a little too long

Did a little more work today, not too far from being done now.

decide to do different gearing in the front

back together, finally finished mounting the winch and bumper.

just need to make some wheel wells and mount the rock sliders and I should be done.
