Default rc4wd OEM rims on SCX10? Roxlox on proline rims? Plis help:)

Guys, i need help
I have tried searching the forum for quite some time but i still havent seen a thread discussing my concern. If you can direct me to a thread discussing this concern, it will be highly appreciated! tnx!

1. Does the rc4wd rims match the SCX10 wheel hubs? - i believe it does not... so how do i make it fit? And how can i make it secure so that i can play scale crawling and not worry about wobbling wheels. Any DIY stuff?

2. If ever i will use the stock Proline eight shooter wheels on a RC4wd Rox lox (both 1.9) will i have an issues with installing the beads on the wheel?

Thanks!
-Miker

Ahh, not quite that simple boss. Actually when you go to put the oem wheels on the scx10, the pin bosses on the oem wheels are to deep. So when you put them on and tighten the nut the wheels won't budge. Poor design in my opinion. What I did to fix it was cut up a body clip into small pieces and put them on each side of the pin boss in the aluminum hub. I used grease to hold them in when I installed the wheels, so they didn't fall out. Tighten the wheel nuts up and you will be good to go.

They have a hex mount one with the 1.55 but the 1.9s are still pin mount

Well they need to get crackin' then. I'd buy some(2.2 & 1.9) with hex's for sure.

i have the 1.55 on my scx10 pin style and they are just fine also. my understanding is rc4wd changed the pin mount on most of their wheels and dont cut the groove in the hub as deep saw that on their site a while ago. i would think they are fine. and the 1.55 are a hex mount now also. but mine are the old pin style.

My sets that I have had have required no modifications on Axial axles. Take off the hex, put on the wheel, bolt up and go

I just got 1.9 OEm wheels and i am having the problem where you cant tighten them down or they wont spin...not happy here. I really dont want to be cutting up body pins and mickey mousing things together.

WTF!

Did you buy the whees recently from RC4WD?

I think are two versions of the billet pin hub on the back of the wheel but I dont know which one is the latest one.

are you using stock axial steering blocks?

a friend of mine has the CKRC high steer knuckles and he had the same problem. bolt them up to some stock axial ones and they were fine.
