just got mine two days ago. are you comparing it to something? anyways

pros:
extremly capable out of the box
beadlock rims
"sealed box" for rx <---- not waterproof but keeps splashes off of it
nice wheelspeed and torque
slipper

cons-
pricey
NO spare room under the chassis for anything
esc mount is pretty lame.-- mounts to the sealed box sideways with servo tape
back body pins PITA to put in.

all i got

i came from a cc-01. I had my friend over yesterday that had a cc-01 and i went and crawler on some rocks. He thought his cc-01 was capable. Quote from him " There is NO comparison between the honcho and cc-01"
haha

Pros
Most capable scale rtr rig out there. Just ask any of the other Scale National Spec Class drivers.

Cons
Plastice Parts
Electronics
Front Bumper Approach Angle
Turning Radius
Probably more that I cant think about right know.
The Cons are bascialy the items that you would be replacing to get slightly upgraded performance. Hand picking your performance parts is part of the fun of this hobby.

I would quickly recommend getting a Honcho. Look at Team3six's review the possitive comments from all of the Scale National Drivers, and all of the pics.

YES front bumper approach angle is HORRIBLE. The turning radius isnt to bad imo. You have fully locked axles, its not gonna turn on a dime. The electronics arent top of the line. But i dont think the motor is that bad. It gives me enough torque to rock crawl with and a decent amount of wheelspeed. You could put a 55t motor and a rc4wd gear reduction in this but the slipper clutch limits your possibilites.

The rtr Honcho was preforming very, very well at the MSD Scale Nats. Alot of the spec drivers were doing better with it than their own rigs. I would HIGHLY recommend this truck to any and everyone looking to get out on the trails in a hurry...

I bought the RTR Honcho with the thought of swapping the RTR electronics to my old Scaler and moving the good stuff into the Honcho...which will be for comps.

I'm thinking the RTR stuff should be good for just playing around in my other scaler. Anyone know how strong the servo is?

Actually, I managed to fit my fxr ESC in the receiver box, it's a tight fit though.

Pros. Everything above.

Cons. Three link is junk and drive shafts need two set screws per yoke plus loctite.

Is there enough room on the front bumper to mount a rc4wd bulldog winch?

Pros:

Great performer out of the box.
Surprisingly affordable considering its a rtr (you can always upgrade electronics later)

Cons:

You WILL want another one
