| Reviews on the Honcho
Anyone know of any mag reviews out there on the Honcho? Can any or all of the RCC current owners write something up on what you like, dislike? Thanks in advance! |

Do a search as there are about a billion revies in here on it. Having everyone rewrite what is already here would be rather redundant.

I agree...it has been wrote many times. The honcho is one of the best performing, if not the best, scalers out there.

Thanks, will do. I went through a couple pages of this thread and didn't see anything. Since this category seemed to cover more than just the Honcho I didn't know what I would find, but definitely should have searched first. |

| http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=881902 You will want to fix the servo horn screw bind problem (on the RTR). I here that a 35T motor is best, but depends on what you want to do with it. Last edited by papaweely; 06-21-2010 at 10:19 AM. |

FiveO I just finished putting together a new honcho about 2 weeks ago and can give you a good idea. I really liked the majority of the kit with exception to the stock steering setup. If you buid it like the kit when you are at full lock turning left then the steering link to the servo will hit the frame before you even get to 1/2 of your shock travel, even with the bump stops. Additionally your servo horn and or steering rod end will hit the 2nd cross member before full suspension travel occours. There is also a small issue of the servo mounts hitting the shock tower/brame brace during full suspension travel but that can be fixed with a Dremel. It appears like they rushed thru the steering design and did not really think things thru. I am building a new cross member to take care of the servo horn problem and have built a longer steering link to drive off of the opposite side to minimize it hitting the frame. It does not eliminate the problem but it reduces it drastically. Once I have it done I will post some pics for all to see. Other than that I have been really happy with it. Fastball |

At MSD Scale Nats over Memorial Day weekend this year, 29 drivers in the spec class drove (and abused) 4 stock RTR honchos through 4 different courses with absolutely no broken parts. To top that, the stock honchos outperformed people's built street class rigs on a number of occasions.
