| MIP CVD/ Spur gear clearance solutions?
Hi everybody, I finall got a set of MIP CVD center driveshafts for my SCX10 (formerly a Dingo). The rear CVD rubs the spur gear at full compression of the suspension. I was wondering if I should: A) Remove the slipper clutch and go direct drive like an AX10 (and if so do I need any special parts?) B) Go to a smaller pinion/spur combo (will any 48 pitch spur fit?) Thanks in advance! |

Don't slide the collar all the way on to the output of the tranny. I just had to move mine out about 2mm and it was good to go. Locktite that retaining screw in and you're all set.

I run a 91t spur on a non slipper clutch tranny with the MIP's with no problems. Possibly 93 would be ok, if you want to get rid of the clutch.

Thanks for the help. I tried sliding the collar back, but it still was too close. I ended up switching to an 84 tooth spur and smaller pinion. That slipper clutch might still be going away though!
