Default Mamba Micro Pro In A SCX10 55T Brushed Crawler?

Sorry to keep posting questions lol, all this new stuff is crazy lol, much easier 20 years ago lol.

Ok i have a Mamba micro pro and a 55T brushed motor

First: Will this be a problem in a 1/10 crawler / Trail Truck (SCX10)? I know its an 1/18 scale ESC.

Second: Im running 4000mAh 2S lipos, Do i have to run a external BEC with a 2S?

Thanks

I also wanna know.
I would like to know how the mamba micro pro will hold in a scx-10 with some trial running and mild crawling

it could be to much for the speedo.

"I'd say you will be fine since you are running the 55t and sticking with 2s in a trail truck. I think they are around 30-35 amp. People (including myself) run 35a esc's in 1/10 cars all the time. You won't need an external bec as long as you stick with 2s."

"You should definatly be fine with that set up, as there are quite a few crawler guys that run 1/18 set ups (mamba micro and sidewinder) in crawlers without a problem. The bec isn't really needed until you run 3s. It is nice if you run the castle bec, b/c you can up the voltage a bit to your servo to get a true 6v. In a crawler it is nice to get all the torque possible out of the steering servo."

I think i will try it out, I have a factory esc in my SCX10 now, Maybe ill try it in my CR01, As soon as it get here lol.

I won't recommend it, but plenty of people run it. 55t on 2s should be fine, but you will need a BEC.

For sure!

Those BEC's in the micro controllers are made for lightweight mini servos, not high torque full sized servos.

I am with JRH on this one though, I wouldn't run the micro ESC because it's not if it fails, it's when.
