Default Tedo's SCX (Hilux Truggy Update)

Hi,
Picked up a scx roller, and tore down my Diaz leafer to create this. I must say, the 4 bar is much more forgiving then the leafs I tried (the red rc4wd, Diaz, and tamiya's).

Fully waterproof.
Hand wound 35T, XL-5 with lipo cut-off, 1.9 rock lox, 2075 servo. RC4WD rear tire carrier (broke today), home made front steel stinger.

This thing rules! Got lost in the trails for over an hour, and was still on my first 2200 pack.

No, I am running:
XL-5 esc, hand wound 35T with 19:87 gearing. 4 Link rear. 2075 steering servo. Custom made battery tray and receiver tray (the rx is in the slash waterproof box) and a Losi 2.4 tx / rx. Rock Lox of course.

I am contemplating on using some trx big bores I have laying around, but all my springs are way too still, and the stock shocks seem to be okay for now.

Nice little vid, but to me it seemed fast. But your gearing is alot higher then mine. Also looks softer, interested in hearing what weight you have and if still stock springs and or shocks? Great work..

yes, a tad quick. I am running a 35T motor geared with a a 19T pinion. I was thinking gearing up would help with wheel speed. Thinking about getting a HH 45T when the brushes go on this one.

Stock shocks with 30wt oil. I kinda like how soft they are.

maniac, I live in Winooski, which is pretty much Burlington...

Awesome! maybe we can set something up sometime to do some trailing no one around here does it so it gets boring lol yeah the 55t I have is slow to me I was thinking about putting a 27 turn stock clod motor I have a few of them laying around and sticking with the 14 tooth pinion. I don't know soo many things that can be done to these rigs lol

Hilux is definitely going to be one of my first mods. Sure they have been done to death, but they are so so cool.

Cage looks great. Are you going to be able to tuck the sliders under at all? They look like they might get hung up a bit.
