Default Out with the old in with the new

i liked the looks of the honcho bumper but i got tired of it hanging up on rocks. thought i would take a crack at building one myself. this is my first attempt at this. just got done with it about half hour ago and i still need to clean it up a bit and get it powder coated. going to go with warlock grey. its a grey metallic texture powder coat that harley used. thought it would be something different than black. i'll post up pictures soon as i get it finished. well here it is let me know what you think.

Looks pretty good. I would run 2 more pieces of round stock along the contour of your skid plate behind it about the width of the stock mounting holes or a little narrower and weld it to the bottom bar of the bumper and to the skid. To make the skid more rigid. If this makes sense.

Looks good though.

Very nice, and quite original. I'll definitely be stealing some elements of it for mine.

I was just going over the things I was going to steal, and it seems that the joint where the tube meets the skidplate is going to catch a LOT of stress.

What do you think of buttressing it with another tube to the backside of the front skidplate (like I've marked in red)?

Just a thought.

I think your on to something. Looks like it will need more support and can't wait to see what you come up with.
