What's the best way to rebuild them?
What's the best shock oil to use?

The way I do it is fill to just under the threads with the oil of choice, then slowly cycle to piston to get the air out. then when all the air is out push the piston all the way up and put the cap on. You will get some oil coming out so keep a rag around then just tighten with out stripping threads.

As for the oil its all up to what you like. I like 30 in front and 40 in the rear. The brands are preference as well.

Hope this helps.
