Default Redneck hi-steer?

I wanted the nice aluminum hi steer arms but I'm a broke college student. So I cut a piece of metal and attached it to the knuckle and the steering arm and used spacers to lift it and seems to work great!

Does anybody see any problem with this? Am I going to rip the knuckle off, or is this a pretty good idea?

It's hard to see in the pic but when I look at it level, the lower link is higher than the top of the axle... If that helps any...

Looks sweet man, only problem might be that all the hits and smashes are going directly into the front of your Punkin. But this is prolly not an issue.

I didn't even think about that, I guess if that happens I'll get those trex 44 axles and make it even more scale!

your steering arms are going to snap fairly quick. the bar you added isnt going to help for breakage.
get yourself a set of nice vp steering knuckles when you get some money. well worth the 30 bucks.

seems to me that you are going to shear the steering arm off the knuckle. You have addressed the forward and aft stress with the metal link but you have much greater forces in the steering directions. I'd watch that think and not push it too hard.
