55t way too slow.
27t just a little too fast.
35t perfect, tad bit faster than a walk

i run a 30t Holmes Hobbies hand wound motor with 20/87 gearing and its a good fast walk/ jogging pace and has all the tourqe ill ever need with it, after all ive bent 2 MIP cvd pins all with a 2 cell 1300mah lipo battery

I love my 27t. Im fixing to stuff a 21t titan on 3s with a 12t pinion in it. The 27t has nice wheel speed, but i use my scaler for big long nasty muddy hill climbs where the wheel speed is needed.

I personally like a 45T motor, not too slow, not too fast

RC4WD 35T with 10tooth pinion and 87 spur....I love it so far. I'm running a 2S 20C 2100mah Lipo too though. Runs good. Seems like there is plenty of speed, but alot more torque than the stock Axial. Other thing I noticed with the RC4WD is when you let off the throttle, it stops alot faster than the stock 27T did. 55T is wwwaaayyy too slow...unless you're doing more of the comp style thing...if you're doing trail rides I would suggest either 35 or 45 but thats JMO.
