Default SCX10 - Ford F100 Truggy

This is my first Scale Build. Traded some AX10 parts for some SCX10 stuff and got it going. It had a tube framed "bed/tire carrier" that I opted not to use. In its place I put together a Honcho Bed until I can get some time to build one myself.

This rig will be my daughters (5 yo) Scale comp rig and a side project for me. We are building it out of spares and stuff we have moved over from her SWX comp rig. She will comp with my XR10 Beetlejuice as long as she can hold the 4PK. She runs a DX3E cause its light and fits her small hands. She has helped do a bit so far, but will be the kingpin in deciding what scale accesories we make and the final graphics. Should be interesting, has anyone built a scale dollhouse to throw in the bed yet?

Specs:

11.5" wb
5 lbs 3 oz

SCX10 Chassis
Axial Honcho Bed/cage
Proline Ford F100 body
Stock AX tranny
Axial axles. Aluminum C's and knuckles. Rear axle with underdrive gears
35t Integy Motor
Tekin FXR
3s Lipo (either zippy 1050, MA 1100, HH 1300)
Futaba S9351 Steering Servo mounted on frame
CC BEC @ 6v
Spectrum SR300 receiver (case removed)
Axial Honcho wheels with Flat Irons and Novas single stage 1.9 foams
Spectrum SR200?? Servo for winch (temp for testing and fitment)

This is the first scale rig I have built, let alone driven. I was extremly impressed with my first drive last night. It managed to claw its way through alot of spots I didnt think it would fit very well. Definitly motivating to keep it going forward.

Next is 4 link trusses front and rear, then Tube front bumper and sliders. It will be hard to get the bumper to look good and function well on this body. The square front end and corners really make it hard to keep it tucked up to the body and protect the front. The high square corners really hit alot. Hopefully get to tehat next week, as Opener for Duck season is tomorrow! Possible Rain and a great reservation draw make it first priority right now.

I was proud of this. I managed to fit all the electronics into the stock receiver box. Last night I managed to get the servo wire and the harness's I made for splitting the BEC power to fit in as well. now just if it doesnt overheat.

Nice truck, so the Honco WB/F100 WB is pretty good? I love the F100 body.
