Default Honcho TR VS. Dingo

as the title said i want to know the pros and cons of the honcho tr and the dingo. some thing i already know about the honcho are the bumper sticks out too far and there is no interior. the dingo front bumper seems to create less of an entry angle but idk how much the lights affect the battery life and if it has a full interior ( room for an action figure driver). so if anyone has noticed anything they dont like about the dingo or the honcho tr let me know. i want to know which RTR to buy b/c im short on cash and want the most bang for my buck. do they both have the same electronics/motor as RTR?
thanks alot for the help.

Electrics are the same. Lights have a little draw and do not have to be plugged in and ran. The wheels base size is different. I would say go with the one that appeals to you look wise. Some specs below

TR Dingo

Wheelbase: 290mm (11.4")
Width: 227mm (9")
Height: 150mm (5.9")
Ground Clearance: 68mm (2.7")
Weight: 2086g (4.6 lbs")

TR Honcho

Wheelbase: 313mm (12.3")
Width: 227mm (9")
Height: 150mm (5.9")
Ground Clearance: 68mm (2.7")
Weight: 1814g (4.0 lbs")

I have a Dingo and my buddy has a Honcho. Shorter wheelbase on the Dingo seems to help in some break-over situations, but the Honcho is a little more stable for side-hilling, going down steep inclines, etc. Both are good trucks, when neither of us having any problems to speak of. You'd prob be happy with either

Mine started as a Dingo, and I loved it when it was stock. Sure the Honcho is cool, but everybody and their grandmother has one.

as for the difference in wheel base, it can be changed to shorter or longer. if i heard correctly, you shouldn't need a conversion kit.

nope all you need are different length links.

and I bought the Honcho..it's a great truck long WB tends to be an advantage over most stuff

and looking at the Specs...I figured the Honcho would've weighted more...unless they weighed it without the spare tire?

Both are good trucks...if it's bumper problems with the Honcho that's easily fixable my modding the bumper itself...it'll give you a better approaching angle..

Dingo here... less people have them and the SWB helps in crawling. Plus it just looks cool!

Has more of a cage than the Honcho, and the fender flares as well. It doesn't seem like much but it does weigh more.

dingo! reasons... 1: i have a scx10 dingo 2: you dont see them much and 3: there shorter so III would think it would crawl better. I know its not that much longer but still....

I would say it depends on what you want to do with it. If you plan on throwing on some larger 2.2 wheels and tires, I would go the Honcho route. They are alot easier to fit 2.2's. If you like the more scale look of the Dingo and want to keep around the stock tire size, go that route. The 1.9 Flat Irons (stock tire on both kits) work very very well in most conditions. No reason to upgrade unless you want different size, look, etc. Other then that, they are both equally capable rigs that are easy to customize down the road. You will not regret either one.

Side note: I do highly recommend RPP (the first response in this tread with the link chart). I just made my third order from him in the last two weeks, last night. He (they) pack everything nicely and ship it out very fast. And they support this forum/hobby. That is the kind of place you want to support by ordering stuff from. Plus he has excellent taste in avatar's

ckrccrawlers.com is having there Honcho RTR on sale for 259.99 I ordered my Honcho from them guys and all my other stuff.

I love my Honcho. Maybe more then i love my xbox. But i thinkn if you get either one you will still love it. They have so many upgrade options and scale options, its retarded You wont be disappointed in either of them.
