Default HPI Mini Trophy Truck body on a Honcho?

I'm curious if anyone could do a comparison to see if the Mini trophy truck body would fit on the Honcho Chassis?
Or at least see what the bed sides would look like.

Being a 1/10 it might be close

The mini trophy truck isn't very wide. Its a mini truck though becuase its based on a an actual mini truck chassis.

It's the opposite. The HPI is 1/12th and the honcho is 1/10th? But the HPI is bigger.

The HPI body is about 1/2" wider than the Honcho front and rear. The heights are almost identical. The HPI body is about 1" longer too but some minor cutting up front you could get it fit. or just move everything back. But I think it could work. Ignore my beat up TBG light bar.

Because the back is cut out of the HPI body you would have to be creative on mounting the cage to it. The top two would mount up but the other 4 would not, on the back of the cab that is.

I think it has some potential, for sure.

Thanks for that it's exactly what I needed to know.
I noticed the bed sides are separate so would they fit over the Honcho bed to form a complete body.

The HPI rear fenders are almost an exact match for the Honcho rear section. Some trimming would be needed but not much.

That is SICK! what a find! By the way those cut & shut Proline Hammers are sick, I think a little sipping would really make them though. How do they hook up?

Not jacking the thread but the hammers work well . I use a really soft foam and they are awesome just a tad short. Siping would definitly soften them up more.

I don't plan on doing anything with the HPI body on the Honcho. Although it would be a cool setup.
Just posting up pictures since I have both. I am holding the honcho for my 10 year old brother's Christmas present.

I had a feeling they would work, I just don't have access to one of the Mini Trucks......yet

So are they the HPI panels on that red Honcho?

Does anyone else think this could be a money spinner for Axial?
Maybe they could produce some rear panels that suit the Honcho body.
Kinda like what Proline have done with their 2 piece bodies.
