Default Summit Transmission on SCX10

It's hard to get hold of the custom mounts and I've been waiting for awhile now. Has anyone else mounted these a different way? Please share your pics..

Thanks

Well I couldn't wait so I decided to make a temporary mount for my honcho...

I used a book end that I had in the house...

..marked the holes..

The bookend had a felt pad so it made it easier to mark..

I used a spare MIP kit with 5mm and 6mm ends....

Here it is mounted..still need to get a servo before I can clean up the spaghetti wires..

Looks cool. How are your MIP shafts holding up with that much angle?

Is there enough room to cut the center of the plate out so the tranny will sit a little lower?

No because it is sitting on top of the stock plastic...

This mount is temporary, hopefully the real mount comes in next week

I didn't get to run it much but when I did was using a 14T. I have the real mount now and still need to put a link for the servo shifter. I removed the VXL since it twitches on slow crawl and replaced it with the stock 12T titan.
