Default gearing with a goat?????

You guys out there running a goat in your scx, what do you recomend for gearing. Its a 18.5 motor running a 5000nmih battery.Thanks in advance.

What do you want out of it, torque or speed. The bigger the pinion, the less torque and the more speed. The smaller the pinion, the more torque and less speed. Why don't you start with the included 14t pinion and see what you want from there.

I would try an 18T. My nephew has the 17.5t which is 2200kv i think, and it does well. he now runs a 3s and it rips.

I've ran everything from a 12/93 to a 21/75 with that motor, depends on what you want and bow much beef you've added to the truck. I wouldn't expect any stock drivetrain parts to last long with low gearing though, that motor has enough torque to destroy parts at will.
