Default Country's SCX10 Honcho....Part 2!

Many of you may have seen my old thread to my honcho. Well it was kinda like an Axial test product thread instead of a build thread. So I started a new one to my build.

I've had my Honcho for about 6 months now, replaced pretty much all electronics, and 4 linked, blah, blah. Well I really enjoy it. Its probably my favorite crawler I've had so far. Here's my parts list

-Rock Candy Aluminum 4 link truss
-Axial 98mm uppers
-Custom fender wells
-Cage removed
-Side Winder ESC
-Spektrum DX3E
-3s Lipo's
-CC BEC
-1.9'' Rok Lox
-New bearings in the rear axle

Enough with the jibberish jibber jabber here's the pics.....

Body Off Shot

Let me know what you think.

Looks better without the cage and the new tires.

I know it. But I got so much plugs that are already tamiya, it would cost me around $50 just to go to deans. So I don't really see the point. What exactly is the advantage of deans anyway?

That's why you get a tamiya adapter to run the nimh packs. The tamiya plugs melt relly easy and the crimp inside them loosens up and when you go to plug in a battery it may spark until you can properly plug them in. It's just to be safe...

I'd just be sure to run deans on a lipo. the nimh you don't have to worry so much about. But i've still melted a tamiya on a nimh pack.

I don't run nimh anymore. I'm full on lipo now. I'll probably end up switching but I've never had an issue anyway.

I've also got 2 suprises coming for this rig.. I'll def like the suprises.

Going from any battery to a 3s is gonna be a BIG difference. But the 27t should be plenty fast already on 2s...

Your LHS should have deans plugs in male and female bags.

Check it out and see.

I'll check it out, the LHS guy is really nice to me, and sometimes gives me stuff for free. He gave me a Spektrum RX for Free and a Traxxas Servo because my 3E didn't have a RX with it. But I'll check it outt.

Thanks for the advice.

Its now sporting a 21t motor. Got to do my first "real" run with this thing on the new set up and I have to say I do love it. Tires are starting to get a little worn a little quick too. The wheel speed is amazing. My next thing to do is get me a new honcho cab and some custom bead rings.
