Default My SCX-10

Well i figured instead of just making different threads about different things, id start an official build thread. i just got the truck a few days ago and havent done anything crazy but little things for a bit more realism and performance. First thing was to replace the stock esc with a Traxxas xl5 waterproof one. Then the two mounting tabs on the stock servo broke so i replaced it with a decent futaba i had laying around. It works pretty good but its not metal geared and isnt too strong.Next big step is to waterproof everything since snow melting=water. Since theres plenty of snow in new york this time of year, thought it might be helpful. Well here are some pics. Stock with bump stops removed. Before: After: Really likin the Wrangler-type look of the slash wheels and tires: Oh and if you noticed i shaved the side bumper bars. only problem is the left one was hollow???

I went with the Honcho but that but that 4WD Jeep body is looking PIMP.. Guys were just telling me that the Jeep body was real narrow.. I for sure am hooked now though and plan on playing around with quite a few different bodies..

Kit should be here sometime next week..

Looking good! I had a hard time deciding whether to get an RTR or the kit. I like the RTR bodies better than the honcho, but I like the aluminum links and longer wheelbase of the honcho. In the end I got the kit because there seem to be more bodies for the honcho wheelbase. I will probably get the bronco body from proline for mine.
