From reading here i think the 90mm rc4wd shocks are smaller then the stocks because its 90mm total and not eye to eye. So the 100mm would be the way to go with minimal differance in hight.

You can run 100mm shocks and end up at the same height as with the stock shocks.

I run losi 4" crawler shocks with 2-3 drops of oil in each one. The rear shock collars are threaded down 1/4 way, and the fronts 1/2 way.

Im sitting the same as before, but my articulation has improved alot over stock.

I can rest any wheel ontop of a pop can, and the other three wheels stay planted firmly on the ground.

End rant, haha.

They are just called "losi 4" crawler shocks"

They are badass! A set of 4 is like $46 from rpphobby.com

Just type losi crawler shock in rpp's search bar.

If you buy them, run them with 2-3 drops of oil in each shock. Its a perfect setup.

Mounting them is easy too. Use the axial stock shock link on the ends of the losi shock shafts, the losi spring perch fits snug and flush with the axial shaft link, everything else works fine.

After you do that , the bottoms will mount just how the stock shocks did on the axle.

For the top use the stock axial screw, stock axial shock spacer, and use the losi black plastic shock ball mount thingy.

After that the top of the shocks mount like the stock ones did.

If you need help, let me know, ill post pictures.

I am about to change to Losi 4" so, I'd love to see the pics, especially on the top mount.

However, when you change to Losi, do you have the problem with
the servo link ( the small link above the drag link ) hit the chassis when full compress?
Because the stock shock has the rubber to limit the shock not to make the servo link hit the chassis when full compress.
Hope you understand what I mean. Thanks.

Anyone who removes the bump stops has that problem. With the losi's they supply bump stops if you want to use them.

Ive looked at the problem, and in all honesty, its 1/8" of travel you miss out on on the one side due to the link hitting the frame when the shock is fully compressed. Nobody will ever notice that when your out crawling.

Default losi 4" shocks articulation

here you see my 4 inch losi crawler shocks. I filled them up with 40wt oil.
I like my setup a little firm.

I like the sounds and looks of this set up, I'll be ordering some myself!

I'm thinking of getting some 120mm shocks and run them semi droop with 2.2 TSLs. Anyone run something similar?
