Is that designed for 1:1's? It looks really thick. Also is it a grippy textured surface??

How well did the lining stick to the lexan? How much prep work was involved?

I tried applying a professional spray in liner to a short course lid I did for a friend. It didn't stick worth a crap, and it was pretty heavy afterward. I even had it sprayed on fairly thin to avoid the weight problem.

Hey guys I think it looks bad a$$ too. Ok so now this is what I did. Its not real bed liner I was going for the look of real bed liner. 1. First get the stickers off duh 2. Took some scotch bright and rough up the lexan 3. After taping I sprayed a med. coat of flat black camo paint 4. Right after spraying I sprinkled fine play sand 5. Right after spray a med. coat 6. Let dry for a while till most of the gloss was flatten 7. Spray a thin 3rd coat let fully dry 8. Spray the last coat heavy let dry 9. Remove the tape enjoy your new rhino look I have no idea how long this is going to last and hold up, but im going to see I plan on getting a new body at some point so if it lasts till then Ill be happy. If anyone does this to there scaler put up some pics. O it didn't seem to add any weight nothing noticeable. |

That makes total sense, no worries about it sluffing off, just scratching which would look pretty cool if you painted silver behind it. Had me fooled and I see the stuff every day lol

Looks cool, but if you're worried about scratching the body I think you picked the wrong segment of the RC hobby lol.

Not worried about scratching the body. Just some people do It to their 1/1 and I thought it would be nice scale look.

I can see why you''ve done it and it does replicate 1:1 well. With a rough textured surface though the shell won't slide over things as easily.

I think it looks good, it also helps setting it apart from the other Dingo's out there |
