Default Methods of mounting body

Ok so, how are most of you guys mounting your lexan bodies without drilling holes for the body posts? I tried to fab up a system with velcro on the existing body mounts, but its not working well at all haha

I glued up a couple pieces of flat delrin, used the stock front mounts and some velcro. Simple (no holes in the body) and works pretty well. I'll post up pics later today if you want.....

Maybe you did something similar to me. I just glued cut retangles of a dvd case on top of the body mount posts and then put velcro on that, but it doesnt work well enough. If the body gets hung up on a rock, it just comes off.

Couldn't tell ya, but I've been doing that for the past 4 years or so and haven't had problems

How much velcro did you use? maybe you don't have enough to hold well.

I just soldered (brazed? I used a small butane torch) some brass pipe to some brass sheet. I drilled some holes through the brass pipe for the body clips to pass through.

There is enough space between the posts for me to mount my esc upside down to the underside of the pad.

I wish I knew how to do that. How hard is it to learn?

Well, to be honest, this was my first time. But you cannot do this with a soldering iron. Has to be a torch to get the metal hot enough. I wouldn't say I'm ready to build a tuber yet...those require real welding I think.

I've seen it done with copper plumbing, sounds like the same process. Flux, solder, torch.
